Obtain the powers of dried herbs by bathing with our Calspa Herbal & Minera Herbal. These blends are made of all natural ingredients- 100% Natural Salt, Essential Oils, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and your choice of up to three herbs- chamomile, lavender, and rose buds. This is the perfect custom salt blend for those of you who are looking for a truly natural and therapeutic bathing experience. Great for muscle aches and pains and skincare.
If you are thinking that these herbs would be nice to use but worry about clogging your drain or just aren’t excited about having the herbs floating about you while you soak, there is a solution! You can achieve the same experience by simply making a tea bag with your salts which you can steep- the salt will still dissolve and you won’t have the clean up afterwards. Simply place a handful of the Calspa Herbal or Minera Herbal onto a square piece of muslin and tie with a sting (you can also purchase muslin bag with drawstrings). You can either tie the tea bag onto the faucet and allow the hot water to run or simply drop it in the tub.
Each herb has its own unique benefits and magical powers that have been shared for years.

Spring is Here!
The flowers are in full bloom and since daylight savings time, once again after work there’s still daylight left to go out and enjoy the evening! So instead of ending your day with a bath, why don’t you start your day with one?
For the perfect Spring bath that will get you energized and ready for the day select a Custom Bath Salt that is bright and cheery and a scent that will wake you up! Citrus essential oils like Grapefruit, Lime Tang, Lemon, and Orange are sure to do the trick.
You can also try making your own- Here are a few Spring inspired bath recipes to try for creating your own aromatherapy morning soak. Each recipe is enough for about a dozen baths. To make sure that your bath doesn’t keep in you in sleep mode, run the water cool (but keep it comfortable). For the last few seconds of your bath, try letting some colder water run into the tub You don’t need to soak in the tub long- a few minutes should do it. After all, this is to kick start your day!
To create your own custom blend, place the salt in a large bowl. Carefully add the correct amount of essential oils (for the recipe of your choice) to your salt. You can mix with your hands (we recommend using latex gloves) to blend the oils evenly into the salts.

5 lbs Calspa Natural Sea Salt

30 drops Sage Essential Oil
30 drops Geranium Essential Oil
This blend will stimulate your brain and will enhance memory while uplifting and balancing your mood.
These recipes yield about 10 baths each.
*Use care when working with essential oils. You should consult your physician before using essential oils if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure or other medical conditions.

If you love baking delicious treats but don’t want the extra calories, we have a solution for you- Bath Salt Cookies! They’re even easier to make than the real thing and they’re sure to get you soaking in the tub! You can use our raw natural salts for this recipe like our Minera Dead Sea Salt. In fact, one of the elements found in Dead Sea Salts is potassium, which can help reduce cellulite & water retention! If you’d like a little more flair to your cookie, try our Minera Deluxe Salt with color and scent (we recommend vanilla in beige).
2 Cups Sea Salt (fine grain works best)
½ Cup of Baking Soda
½ Cup of Cornstarch
4 Tablespoons of Almond Oil
1-2 Eggs
Preheat your oven to 350.
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl, then stir in almond oil and eggs.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an un-greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 7 minutes (time may vary but you want to bake until cookies are firm).
Allow cookies to cool until hardened.
To use drop 1 or 2 cookies into a warm bath.
You can packaged the cookies in take-out boxes, cello bags or glass jars to give as gifts. Be sure to tell your friends and family that they are for the bath and not to eat (though they make look and smell good enough)!

There are so many bath salts to choose from, so the question is: Which salt is best for me? The answer depends on the benefits you are looking to achieve.
If you are looking to take a nice, relaxing soak in the tub to ease the stresses of the long day, while softening your skin, you can choose from any of our custom bath salts. With salts like our Calspa Deluxe or Minera Deluxe you can choose your own scent and color. In our Elements line, we’ve put together a blend of our most soothing colors & scents- Sleep and Relax. Adding a handful to your tub and soaking for 10-20 minutes will help you to have a better night’s sleep.
For a more therapeutic bath that will detoxify your body, our Minera Dead Sea Salt is a great choice. We even have a Detox formula in our Spa Therapy line that has some extra detoxifying ingredients such as kelp powder, bentonite clay and an essential oil blend of Grapefruit Oil, Juniperberry Oil and Green Tea. To relieve tired and achy muscles, try our Minera Dead Sea Salt, Sherpa Pink Himalayan Salt or our Epsoak Epsom Salts. In our Spa Therapy line we also have a special Muscle Soak blend which is Epsom Salt with eucalyptus and peppermint oil. Whether you want to detox or relieve muscle aches and pains, you will want to add two large handfuls to your bath, allowing 20 minutes of soaking time.
When looking for relief from skin conditions like Psoriasis or Eczema we recommend our Minera Dead Sea Salts. We’ve gotten a lot of feedback from customers who've had great results using the Dead Sea Salt for help with their skin conditions. The natural salt on its own can be very effective. You may also want to try our Skincare from the Spa Therapy line as well. This is a blend of Dead Sea Salt and Pacific Sea Salt and also contains essential oils, vitamin e and aloe vera. You will want to use a larger amount of salt than usual to aide skin conditions- add one to two pounds of this salt to your bath and soak for at least 20 minutes.
Remember to keep the temperature of your bath water warm but not too hot, the benefits will be greater this way. Ultimately, you are trying to mimic the water of the Sea! Keep in mind, it’s a good idea to speak to your doctor before beginning any therapy routines.

For a unique addition to your child’s Easter basket this year you can make your own fizzy bath bombs right at home.
To get started you will need:
Plastic Filler Easter Eggs
3 lbs Citric Acid
6 lbs Baking Soda
8oz Artisan Bath Salts with the color & scent of your choice
Water in a spray bottle
2 Empty Egg Cartons
In a large bowl, blend the citric acid, baking soda and salt. Spray just a little water onto dry ingredients until the mixture becomes tacky. Be careful to add only just enough water to make the mixture tacky.
Pack the mixture into each side (adding a little extra in the center) of the plastic eggs and close the egg back up. Let the mixture sit in the eggs for about 5-10 minutes to allow the bath bombs to mold.
Carefully hold the plastic egg and pull off the top half, then remove the bath bomb slowly from the bottom half of the egg shell. Place the bath bombs in an egg carton and allow to dry completely by leaving them out overnight.
To use: Drop one bath bomb into a tub of warm water and watch them work their magic!
*Yields about two dozen eggs
