Our Overstock Spa Blend salts are not only great for use as bath salts and foot soaks; they also can be used to create your own heavy duty pedicure salt scrub.

If you’ve noticed that the heels of your feet require some much overdue TLC, you can help to soften and smooth them by using a pedicure salt scrub that you can easily create with our current overstock spa blend salts and a bit of oil.  Popular oil choices for making exfoliating salt scrubs include Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Avocado Oil, or Olive Oil.

Use the following ratio of salt to oil to create your scrub:

Blend 3 parts of salt to about 1 part of your choice of oil.

Feel free to take the liberty of adjusting the amount of the oil to create a salt scrub to your preference.  Once you’ve created your scrub, simply take a small handful of it and gently massage it on the bottom of your feet in circular motions; focusing on those dry, rough or callused heels. Then rinse.

Why is it that when we finally get that much needed time away from our regular day-to-day lives and are off at some wonderful destination somewhere, we don’t get as much rest and relaxation as we would have hoped for during the trip?  I can vouch for this personally as most of the time while I’m away and on “vacation” I find myself running here and there either affixed to someone else's schedule, busy sight seeing, or out enjoying the night life.
