Bathing in natural sea salt is a wonderful way to get soft skin - but bathing isn’t the only way you can use sea salt. Bath salt made from sea salt is filled with minerals and nutrients which naturally occur in the ocean and are beneficial to our skin. Soaking with them is great, but you can also use the salts to scrub away rough dry skin and reveal softer, more supple skin underneath.

Exfoliation involves sloughing off dead skin cells through the use of granular substances such as salt. Seeds, clay, and items such as loofahs and sea sponges are also used. In addition to scrubbing away old, dull skin, exfoliation opens the pores and makes it much easier for your skin to absorb lotions, serums, and other beauty products.

Simply grab a handful of your favorite bath salt (for an even better experience, choose a bath salt infused with essential oils and/or herbs) and rub it gently on your skin. Concentrate on the soles of the feet, the elbows, backs of arms, and other places that need extra softening. To top it off, use your favorite lotion. You’ll be softer in no time!
