Grey Sea Salt is formed as the sea water flows into the Guerande marshes during high tides.  The water is then directed to a vasiere, or a settling pond, where the water is evaporated leaving behind a naturally organic, crystallized salt.

The Grey Sea Salt gets it name from its natural coloring that occurs from the salt crystallizing on clay.  This contact with the clay provides the salt with its high mineral content that includes magnesium and many other trace minerals.

San Francisco Bath Salt Company’s manufacturing facility and offices have relocated!  The business has grown and we are very excited to be in a bigger building that will better suite our production needs!

If you are local to the Bay Area you may visit us at the above address to pick-up your orders and visit our show room.  We still encourage you to place your orders in advance so that we can prepare your order ahead of time so that it’s ready for you when you arrive.  Most orders placed in the morning can be picked up that same afternoon. Pease feel free to place your order by phone if you need your order in a hurry.

If you are placing an order online that you would like to pick up you can enter the coupon code: willcall . This way, you will avoid shipping charges being added to your order.  Please also include a note in the extra information box that mentions that you will be picking up.

Our Flagship Store in San Francisco is still on Pier 39, but at a new location as well!  You can find our summer location for our retail store toward the back of the Pier, near the carousels.  We hope to see you there!
